Equipment

  • 1 9 x 13 x 2 pan

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey or Pork Sausage / Sage Cooked
  • 1 8 oz Can Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • 1 cup Cheder Cheese Shredded
  • 4 each Eggs Beaten
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Optional
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper

Instructions

  • Crumble Sausage in skillet; cook over medium heat until brown, drain well. I usually buy already cooked packaged sausage and microwave to take chill off. It is way easer.
  • Line bottom of buttered 13 x 9x 2 baking dish with crescent rolls, firmly pressing perforations to seal.
  • Sprinkle with sausage and cheese, toss to combine.
  • Beat eggs and add milk, pepper, and salt if desired. Pour evenly over sausage cheese mixture.
  • Bake at 425 degrees 15 to 20 or until set, Let stand for 5 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

This is our favorite/go to for breakfast at the holidays and when we have guests spending the night.  It stays hot for a while, just cover with foil.  Everyone can eat when they get up and are ready to eat.  If your lucky enough to have leftovers, it reheats beautifully.
I never add the called for salt in the recipe, as the sausage has plenty for us.  I don't make a habit of telling guests that, as the salt shaker is always there for the taking.
